TK Webpage Status
  Templar Knights guild members,

The server this site was being hosted on crashed on Thursday afternoon (1-19-06). The site was down all day, and I was hoping that it would come back up eventually. Later that night, I sent an email to the hosting company and this is the response I got back.

Dear Customer,

It is with regret that we announce that the Asteroid server has been compromised in a malicious attack. We are still working on the server but unfortunately initial indications show that the malicious attack has erased all server data, including backups. This is a very frustrating time for both ourselves and all customers on the server and we are working dilligently on finding the source/culprit for the attack.

Good news is that the new web server has been setup. We would have to recreate your hosting account on it. We are extremely sorry for inconvenience this has caused and we will be offering suitable compensation to clients on the server which is that you would be setup on our largest shared web hosing plan currently being advertised on our website and this is for life time of your hosting account with us!

We are once again very sorry for this. We would post an explanation paragraph once all clients on the machine are back online. Thank you once again for your trust in us and we hope we can pass through this difficult time as smoothly as possible.

Cheers

Staff - WHB

As of this time, all information that was on the server is not accessible by me. The pages of the website I am able to restore easily, however the data behind all this is gone (news, comments, item list, dkp, forums). I have a few screenshots of the raid on Wednesday night showing the exact dkp of about 55 people, and others have more info for that night, so we should be able to get people's DKP back to how it was. If you are a regular raider and not on the list of people, we will have to work out other ways to find your dkp info.

Please be patient as I attempt to rebuild the entire site and sql server tables this weekend. This is something that took many months to create and I will by trying to recreate it in the course of a few days. Hopefully things should be back to normal as soon as possible.

Thanks for your patience,
Colin (Hypnoz)

EDIT: You will need to recreate your account from the member login section, and DKP will be updated on your account once it is created.

Server First Nef Kill
First day of the new server Mug'thol opening, TK does a full clear of BWL for what we assume is the server's first Nefarian kill.

Grats everyone on clearing BWL twice in one week.

Some notable weapon drops during the night...

Bubble Boy
In my quest to keep guildies entertained and random folks who visit appraised of what we do inbetween raids, I decided to enable the dreaded "Chat Bubble" function. For those who don't know, this makes party or say pop a little bubble of text above a character when they say something, much like comics. Looks pretty freakin' campy to me - I mean, we already have giant cows and Michael Jackson dancing in the game, why add to it? But actually it turned out to be interesting.

I KNOW YOU ARE BUT WHAT AM I?!

WTB [Draft Dodger]

I smell a pretender to the throne

Actually, speaking of fakes:

Lately, we've been plugging away at farming the usual raid content and inch ever so closer to the new-carpet-smell of AQ20. Soon, my little pretties, soon. Until then, TK is destined to keep itself away from the spectre of boredom. Thankfully, AQ contest winners came on our runs this week, and they all seemed to come away with neato epics, grats guys, and by the way, we're just as insane as we sound. I'll show you.

Mandalicious > Lucy Lawless

Spelling > Lothy

However, I hear Lothy stomps Tauren into beef jerky in his spare time:

I knew Ragnaros had some kind of use if we couldn't skin him

Decisions, decisions in STV PvP:

That's ok though, the Horde have nothing on MinniFurRobo. I'll form the head!

Doing my part to cut down unscrupulous players:

TK: Building Inter-Guild Relations on Mug'thol:

I have the best UI. Ever. Seriously.

Don't agree? That's fine. That's just fine.

TK Educates

Learning something new is always a good thing, and being in a guild like Templar Knights sure has taught me a thing or two (well, aside from hitting flash heal for 5 hours at a time).

For example:
How to Stay Warm on your BRM Camping Trip

Step One: Find a suitable surface to lie down on. Use body heat to keep toasty.

Step Two: Find and slay wild animal to hunt for fur.

Step Three: If you're a skinner, slit the animal open, clear the guts out of the way, and slide inside. And you thought they smelled bad on the outside...

How about relationships? TK knows about that too.

Dyfed's reputation with Females has decreased slightly.

Even down to the simple basics, TK is there for you.

...although I don't quite remember that it goes like that. Oh well!

Anyway...boredom over farming BWL and waiting for AQ has given way to *gasp* PvP, and AB is a common place for the guild to blow off some steam - even against each other:

But a ridiculous bug in AB (which I hope gets fixed soon) involving a certain priest spell has provided some break to the monotony of the honor grind:

"See what Uncle Hallow brought home for you Theo? Don't forget to housetrain it this time around."

I kinda preferred Transformers for toys when I was little, but a big green orc with a skirt works just fine too (<3 to Borc and apologies!).

All this AB'ing has left me tired. It's just hard to find a good seat to rest on - especially in STV:

Somehow, I think it could use a cushion...

I Like Screenshots
So I checked with the powers that be and thought that it would be a good idea to post things every so often of what we're doing - something beyond the usual "oh look, we killed this boss" or "where are we with Blizzard's latest grind that makes you want to shoot yourself in the head". So without further ado, I'd like to start out by saying we've been busy doing the usual as we wait for AQ gates to open, but boredom makes for some interesting chat captures and screens.

By the way, everyone I mention in my stories I have nothing but love for. Kill me later please.

It's AFK time in ZG:

And here's our newest priest. I think she fits in quite nicely:

...well, maybe there's a few things to work on.

I hear labor is cheap for farming carapaces:

And because I can't kill Horde, I guess we better start farming each other for faction at the Dire Maul arena.

And Aeglos, I TOLD YOU I'D GET YOU BACK:

Hope you enjoyed the update.

Career Change
With Mug'thol's AQ Opening right around the corner (Tuesday at 6:30pm in Silithus, be there or be square), TK and many other guilds are more than happy to be looking forward to new content. This is a good thing, because the "cabin fever" of farming the same instances over and over again was starting to settle in - at least to the point where boredom settled into a question of "should I really be doing this? What if I did something else?". Rolling an alt of a different class is, frankly, not enough - no, a shift in an entirely new direction was to some TK members a viable path - at least for this week.

For example, some tried Horde Table Dancing:

Or perhaps auditions for being in the next Matrix:

...although I hear it comes with some "occupational hazards":

"Yarrrgh...this be da worst place ta be advertisin' our swashbucklin' musical."

See, now this wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for that inconvenient dying every day of the week to raids:

Honestly, though, I think TK has a best chance at another job as cheerleaders:

Other than that, it's been the usual, although more and more I keep finding out something new about my guildmates.

And hear I thought Jehanne listened to Bach and Mozart:

Personally, I was talking about PvP. I gave up insulting people for Lent, I wasn't responsible:

That must be a horrible disease, this penisis:

(5g to the first person aside from who said it to correctly tell me who said that)

I think I got a defective Rune.

I hope everyone is looking forward to AQ! The troops are arriving, and they have one order from their general:

AQ Open on Mugthol!
Congratulations to TK and Mug'thol - your hard work paid off.

More news to come!

Fun = AQ, Repair Bill = QQ
Looks like this week I have plenty more to post about other than the random craziness and funny that happens in our guild. Like many guilds, we stepped into AQ for the first time and experienced new, fresh content. Overall, we like AQ, but boy, is it tough for me to get used to paying repair bills again. I feel sorry for our plate wearers.

I bet you'd be grumpy too if you got rudely awakened from an eons-long nap

When Lothy is on our side, he's a Horde killing beast. But when he's not...

That was shortly after I took a heroic strike crit that put me into tomorrow.

Luckily, Skeram went down with little effort:

Next was the Power Rang-um, I mean Vem, Kri, and Vauj. Here's a note - never save the chick for last. Never.

I'm detecting a pattern...

Sartura apparently has a buff that gives you the jump hax. (#%&^%#$%'in Sartura)

Luckily, the whirlwinding little witch went down shortly after

Fankriss looks like one of those bugs you see in a public park restroom. Especially when dead.

Princess Huhuhakunamatata is next on our hit list.

But no update is complete without random quotes. No leadins from me...you can simply draw your own conclusions...

Freud would have a field day. Until next time!

Templar Knights MC Runs "Open" to Non-TK.
We've been running MC for as long as many of us can remember being 60. With BWL to farm and now AQ on the To-Do list MC is being put on the back burner. Very far back. With that said our MC raid is made up of a lot of alts and we can't even field 40 most of the time. This is where you might come in! If you need some MC gear, or are perhaps interested in raiding with TK on a long term basis this is a great way to get your foot in the door.

So how do you do this?

1) Register an account on this page. NOT the forums.
2) Msg an officer in-game and tell them you want to sign up to go on our MC runs and need your account approved. Make sure that gets done. This will put your account into the DKP system.
3) Keep an eye on the "Current Raids" page to the left of this post, and sign up for MC raids when you see them.
4) Hope TK is lazy and doesn't fill their MC raids.
5) ???
6) Profit.

Officers include: Gallowan, Jared, Norolas, Lilia, Neba, Shinobi, plus others. If you cant find any of these studs just message a TK member to direct you to the proper person.

Also keep in mind these are still TK runs with TK loot rules. Meaning you will be entered into our DKP pool and be held to same rules and standards any TK member would. TK members will in most cases have priority on raid spots for obvious reasons. As said before MC runs are not a priority and are only done when the other instances are completed, thus have no consistent day or time to be run. Most of our runs start at 8pm CST, and our last MC was 3/28/06 with about 5-10 Non-TK members and Ragnaros was killed.
